Inspired by passionate, hard-working and kind people, Rachael Ekey founded The Markey Group in 2010. As she looked to her father as a mentor, she began this venture with the mindset to help other businesses grow and thrive. The Markey Group is a full-service marketing agency that specializes in digital marketing, design, print and promotional items. “I love nothing more than seeing our clients succeed,” Ekey shared.
 
The Markey Group joined the Rocky River Chamber in October of 2016 thanks to Frank Martau, past Board Chair of the Chamber and longtime member. Martau urged Ekey to attend a luncheon to learn more. She saw the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals and enthusiastically attended the very next one. “[We] were lucky enough to sit at a very welcoming table, where we met Anne Kuenzel, a great friend and one of TMG’s biggest cheerleaders to date” Ekey said.
 
Since her first luncheon, she rarely misses this monthly opportunity to connect with fellow Chamber members. “The most enjoyable Chamber events for me are the monthly luncheons because I enjoy seeing friends and colleagues in a more relaxed setting, meeting new people and learning about their businesses, and connecting with smiling faces during a welcomed break in the day,” Ekey expressed.
 
TMG supports the Business Expo annually and won the “Most Active New Member” award in 2018!
 
FUN FACTS about Rachael: When she isn’t working, Rachael is passionate about volunteering with the organization Dec My Room, and loves to attend yoga and spin classes at local studios here in Cleveland. When in doubt, you can usually find her somewhere near the water, or in the company of her family and friends.
