The Rocky River Senior Center recently rejoined the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce this year with great excitement! The Chamber is honored to have their support and participation once again.
 
Deborah Huff, Director of Senior Services looks forward to working together, as she expresses the Chamber “provides a wonderful opportunity for those who work in the community to connect with each other, and the speakers are inspiring!”
 
Upon rejoining, Huff attended the Chamber's monthly luncheon in February, and it created a favorite memory. “My first meeting with Carol McCabe from Rocky River Seniors Council, Inc. I thought I would be introducing her to people I knew from Chamber, but every time she turned around, she ran into someone she knew. She introduced me to more people that day than I did her. And we had so much fun!” she shared.
 
The Rocky River Senior Center positively impacts the Rocky River community by creating opportunities for healthy aging through social engagement, physical well-being, civic involvement, creativity and lifelong learning. They offer activities and programs, social services, and transportation for seniors. The center has many fabulous features, including a café-style restaurant serving lunch 5 days a week and an adorable gift shop. “You can find the best bargains on scarves, cards, gifts and a variety of items,” Huff shares. “I am fortunate to be the director of this amazing facility!”

The Rocky River Senior Center will be participating in the Chamber's annual Taste of River on Sunday, July 14, 2019. They will be sharing their delicious chili with the community! 
 
FUN FACTS about Deborah: She live in Rocky River in a charming almost century home near the library. Deborah enjoys family, gardening, reading, and exercise. “I have a dog, and he has a cat. My two grown children live locally so we get together weekly for family dinners. Two of our favorite places are Burntwood Tavern and Mellow Mushroom which we can walk to from my house!” Deborah shares.
